Isbudet ice company
Our ice factory is located in Partille, Gothenburg. There we produce 150kg blocks of ice using "directional freezing". We then saw these blocks by hand into ice cubes, ice blocks and ice sticks. The dimensions are adjusted so that they fit perfectly in the respective glass. An ice stick is perfect in a highball glass, an ice cube in a negroni, and so on.
The challenge
We wanted to start producing premium ice in addition to the regular cube ice we already had at that time, because we saw great potential in this.
The solution
As with any thing, there are always some nuances, but we always worked with the BF TECH team side by side to quickly respond to any situations. For example, during one of the deliveries we had an unloading during which someone lifted the blockmaker so that it tore off the freon tube, and BF TECH sent an engineer by plane from Ukraine for repairs — this was in 2021.
Results
We have grown tenfold since we started selling premium ice in our country.
